Breaking news: Alex Bergman Made His Intension Clear To Houston Astros

The Houston Astros are a Major League Baseball team based in Houston, Texas. Established in 1962, the team originally played as the Houston Colt .45s before changing their name to the Astros in 1965 to reflect the city’s connection to the U.S. space program. The team currently plays in the American League (AL) West division, having switched from the National League in 2013.

The Astros have been highly competitive in recent years, especially after winning their first World Series title in 2017. However, that title is controversial due to a sign-stealing scandal involving the use of technology, which led to MLB investigations and penalties.

Despite this, the Astros have continued to perform well, reaching the World Series multiple times, including in 2019, 2021, and 2022 (winning in 2022). Known for their dynamic roster, the team features star players like Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, and Alex Bregman, and they have become one of the most consistently strong teams in the AL in the last decade. Their home games are played at Minute Maid Park, a fan-favorite stadium known for its retractable roof and unique features like the train track above left field.
