Breaking News: legendary Floyd Mayweather collapse and was rushed to the hospital

In a recent statement on Instagram, he defended his post-retirement choices, framing his exhibitions as a personal decision to live life on his own terms.

“Retirement isn’t about slowing down, it’s about living on your own terms,” Mayweather wrote. He added that after working hard to build his legacy, he has the freedom to choose his adventures, which still bring in substantial revenue. He compared himself to successful businessmen like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffett, who continue to build their legacies and wealth well into their later years. Mayweather pointed out that while these men are celebrated for their pursuits, he faces undue criticism for doing the same.

Mayweather emphasized that his exhibitions are more than just money-making events; they offer fans, both old and new, the opportunity to witness his skills in the ring once again. He sees these matches as a way to refine his success and extend his legacy on a global stage.

“Exhibitions are my way of giving my fans… the opportunity to witness my greatness on any stage I choose,” he explained.

Despite the naysayers, Mayweather is confident that he is simply following the path of a successful businessman, continuing to create wealth and legacy.

Floyd Mayweather’s Exhibition Career

Since his professional retirement, Mayweather has fought several notable figures, including Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, social media influencers Logan Paul and Deji, and reality TV star Aaron Chalmers. While these bouts have drawn significant attention, some of them, particularly his fight against John Gotti III, have sparked controversy. The Gotti fight ended in chaos after excessive trash talk led to its stoppage, resulting in a brawl between the fighters and their camps. These events have only fueled criticism that Mayweather’s exhibitions are more about spectacle than serious competition.

Despite this, Mayweather remains unapologetic. He believes his exhibitions serve as a platform for fans to enjoy his craft while allowing him to continue building his legacy. His response to critics makes it clear that, for him, retirement doesn’t mean stepping out of the spotlight—it means reshaping it on his own terms
