After losing 1-0 to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship, Penn State has an opportunity for revenge in the 2024 season.

With the exit of the Nittany Lions’ top goal scorer, Peter Mangione, who signed a contract with FC Cincinnati 2, Penn State must rely on its current squad to fill the departure’s shoes.

Caden Grabfelder

Caden Grabfelder started 16 of 19 games for the Nittany Lions. The midfielder from Northampton, Pennsylvania, was ranked as the 14th best freshman in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer

He tallied three goals and three assists, the third most in both categories.

In his one year as a Penn Stater, Grabfelder has already shown his value and importance to the team.

The sophomore has proved that he can compete at the highest level and will attempt to build off his terrific 2023 showing as the 2024 season begins.
